Jake and his team definitely made this a more manageable process, especially with his experience with other military families and the capability to handle the entire process in-house. This included home search, virtual showings and the loan approval process. Being a veteran himself, he completely understands the complexity of military life and offered sound guidance to help us pick out the perfect home. Initially, we had no plans to sell our Oceanside house. Once the market started to significantly increase, we started to reconsider our plans. I cannot say “without him, we would not have been able to buy a house”, but what I can say is…as first time homebuyers without experience nor much research time…it sure feels like we specifically needed him, and I give him (along with Kyle Melvin and his team at Aligned Mortgage) all the credit. We had a seemingly unique home buying experience in which Jake even learned a few things or had a slightly different experience as a real estate agent for our situation than what he has experienced in the past. While he definitely understands the market, he also draws on his experiences outside of the real estate industry as well. I met Jake many years ago when we served together in the military. He was a Marine and I was the Corpsman for the squadron. As many others, we re-connected via social media years later as we both moved onto other career paths. So when I was debating the sale of my condo, I reached out to Jake for his advice. My family's experience in buying a home with Jake was great ! I was in the market to find a home for my family knowing that doing so is not an easy process especially when it comes to realtors. I was very blessed to have come across Jake at the right time and very thankful for his services through out the entire process. Theres just so much that goes into buying a home and having the right agent to guide you through the journey is the key . Thankfully Jake is that guy ! My past experiences with realtors couldn't even come close to what Jake provided us. Beginning with the search for homes he opened my eyes up to different locations by widening my search. We saw about 15 homes before making the final decision and throughout that process Jake was responsive from early morning until late at night. Another point that was very impressive on Jakes end was the time I sent him a home to the time we had an appointment to go view the home (most of the time was in the same day if not the next day). Jake was on time for viewings when we had appointments , he was communicating daily with other agents to get us viewings or negotiate pricing, and his experience in the business gave me comfort when it came to asking for his opinions or advice on certain homes. When it came to the home we ended up on putting an offer throughout the negotiating process Jake was on it ! from inspections to request for repairs Jake was able to get me an amazing amount back in seller credits.
